Jigs Tenorio is a freelance and hobbyist photographer based in Manila, Philippines. His passion for landscape and cityscape photography landed him projects and a gateway to a career in architectural and interiors photography.
He started taking pictures as a hobby with a 2MP digital camera back in 2005, snapping some group photos and documenting events in school. After graduating from college, his involvement and membership in the Pinoy Photography Org forums and photo club influenced his love for travel and photographing architecture and historical sites.
He is a self-taught photographer but he solidified his technical skills by taking up various workshops under established professionals such as the FPPF Basic Photography and Strobist classes, Advanced Architectural Photography by the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging (PCCI) under Ibarra Deri, Portraits and Post-Processing by Parc Cruz, Landscape Photography by Chasing Light under Jay Jallorina and Edwin Martinez, Food and Strobist Photography seminars by Ricky Ladia, Portraits by Jiggie Alejandrino, and a lot more pocket workshops by Xander Angeles, Nikko Villegas, Tracy Heppner, and Per Andre Hoffman.
However, his greatest influence is his uncle and mentor, commercial photographer, Jinggo Montenejo. Jigs started learning commercial photography watching at the sidelines and behind the scenes as an assistant and sometimes a back-up shooter for his uncle.
